Wellness Wednesday – 6/15/16

Wow – it’s the middle of the month already! Can you believe it?  I can’t.  I feel like I have been on a roller coaster for the last few weeks and right now I’m just to the point where I want to get off.  I’ve taken to napping in my car at lunch recently, just to get a little more sleep in. I’m sure my poor husband wishes he could do the same, since I feel he’s sleeping less than I am,  making sure I don’t die in the middle of the night.  And while I say that jokingly, he’s pretty serious about it.

So where are we at this week?  I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, and am waiting for my appointment next Thrusday to get a CPAP machine and hopefully, this will cure the last of my health issues.  I’m trying not to get my hopes up, since I’ve been dissapointed a number of times over the last few years, but I really feel like this should do it for me.  If I can get some sleep and good sleep, I can get back to a healthy and active life I’ve been missing out on recently.

I’ve been working this week on eating healthier, and by healthier I mean cooking at home to start with, and trying not to eat from the vending machine in the office.  I picked up this juice from Odwalla last week and while it was hard to swallow the first few days (trust me you know there’s kale in it) by the end of the week , it wasn’t that bad and when the time came to choose my juice this week, I grabbed it again.  With that said, I’m hoping soon to get back into making my own (juice smoothie) in my Vitamix – it’s so much better for you with all the fiber in it.  But right now, this juice and my Flax muffins from whole foods, give me a good start to my day.

Now if I can just stop eating the Sour Gummi Bears!

Holiday Hustle – Week 4 and 5K

Weigh in week, let’s just say it hasn’t been the best two weeks for me. My personal life is spiraling a little bit and we’ve had things to do every night after work or on the weekend so I come home tired and hungry, I don’t want to cook or exercise and I make bad food choices and go to bed. Let’s just say there’s been a lot of Tum usage in the middle of the night. So This weigh in I am up 1.8 pounds and my only saving grace is making sure most week days I get my 10K steps by 3pm and I’m pushing to get that on the weekends now.

Does anyone know how to change the clock on a WII? Not that it matters much but sometimes I think it would be nice to know.

I did on the upside get my P90 pack on Monday (has anyone else tried this? do you know what I’m in for?) so today on the way home from going to the gym – yes you heard right – I/we (mom and I) are going to the gym – I feel we’ll be doing a 1/2 hour on the bicycles for hear knee but I’m ok with that, it’s out of the house and actually exercise. On the way home I’m hitting the store, getting some good easy food back into the house and getting back on track.

Today I hit a milestone on the blog – I hit 5000 views, Yay! Slowly but surely right? Thank you all that come to visit, and those that stay a while (you know who you are 😉 thank you so very much for your support over the last 11 months. I had no idea the 28 day challenge would bring so much traffic to my site, but I am grateful for that, so thank you to the ladies over at Fit Girls Guide and the last few challenges they’ve done!

I’ll make sure to add in a new progress photo – although I fear I could copy and paste from last month and it would look the same.

Have a great Wednesday.
