Plan With Me – April

I know I’ve mentioned it in the past but it bears repeating, I am a planner like no other. I like to put together spreadsheets and research before we travel, I like to make sure when I buy something new I’m getting the best value for what I want and it’s something I really need. So when I was perusing Pinterest last fall and stumbled across a few Bullet Journal spreads I was floored! When did this happen? Had I been living under a rock? And after a few days of really diving into the idea, I went out and bought a crappy $5 notebook and got started, six months later I am in planning heaven and feel like 1. I get more things accomplished each day and 2. Have a record to show it.

This month I thought I would share with you, my spreads from March (incomplete – since it’s only the 26th when I write this) and show you my April Set up.

I’m not sure I’m 100% sold on the vertical monthly spread, I have to admit I don’t go back to it as often as I thought I would, the daily record keeper on the other side definitely helps with that. Speaking of the daily record keeper, this was my first month trying it, I initially thought it would be a pain, but, I’ve had a blast with it, I’m actually excited to be able to go back over it later and see what was going on those days. My handwriting is not the best and you can see I’m not a huge adorner of stickers and such (although you should see April) but I do like washi tape for my monthly spread just so I can refer to it quickly through the journal.

Next up is my very unfinished daily tracker, I started a training that week and it really wiped me out, I was lucky to get anything added to my journal at all. I thought this would be a great spread to share as well because it shows you don’t have to be perfect and sometimes the best intentions on a spread just don’t happen all the time. But, I like the idea of the monthly tracker across two pages, I found the idea on Pinterest and have been pleasantly happy with the way it’s turned out, I suppose I could add notes on the side over the month but a nice quote and some more washi tape did the trick for March. As you can see I split my tracking into sections – Health, Self Improvement, Blog, and Check- in, what goes into those sections does change occasionally, once I feel I’ve mastered the task at hand although I have to say, that hasn’t happened recently, lol.

I like to keep track of the training I take and the podcasts I listen to, this spread just splits the days out across the month and I was supposed to fill in what I did. I think for April I’m going to fill in what I plan on for those days, and then check it off as I go along.

I love the idea of a mood mandala (although I changed it up for April) I, of course, follow BohoBerry with a passion and she got the Idea from Bujo Mama on Instagram. It was nice to track my mood daily over the month and get some practice in drawing Mandalas. I’m a little behind at the moment drawing but I usually save that for Sunday’s as a fun thing to do in the afternoon.

Lastly for March a weekly and daily spread just show planning and to-dos. Nothing especially exciting about either of them, they’re just my workhorses.

I keep the vertical calendar spread, and daily tracker, I did add some stickers to this spread just because I had them and I somehow got wrangled into a sticker subscription when I went to Planner.con a few weeks ago. Must be a throwback to my childhood and visiting the Lisa Frank aisle at my local Toy’R’Us.

Then the April To-Do and Social Media spread, where I plan out my goals for the month for each.
