BEAUTYCOUNTER – Nourishing Cleansing balm review

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today I’m going to share with you my thoughts about a product I received in my Pop Sugar Must Have box in February. The Nourishing Cleansing balm with cloth from BEAUTYCOUNTER – It retails for $80 on their website for a 2.75 oz jar.  The brand touts natural ingredients, and an environmentally friendly product.

Here’s a full list of the ingredients from the site and the claims for the balm.

Now down to the skinny of it.

This was a nice cleansing balm, it had a really mild smell (fruity), it is solid until you remove it from the jar and let your body heat melt the oils.  And for the most part it removed my makeup;  I’m not sure the linen cloth provided did more good than a tissue or puff to remove the oil, other than show you the makeup being removed.  I thought it was a little cumbersome every night to find a clean spot on the cloth to wipe my face with, that’s probably just me though.

All in all it was a great product to try from PopSugar and was something I would expect from the brand to send out to it’s subscribers.

Would I buy it on my own? No  – I didn’t notice anymore hydration than when I use my $6 coconut oil from Trader Joes. I think a natural oil used to remove your makeup and add a little hydration to the skin is going to to the job, no matter if it’s from Tj’s or something expensive from the south of France.
Final thought – I’ going to stick to my Orgainc Virgin Coconut oil from Trader Joes – and save my money for some awesome serums.

XOXO – Sarah
