Curvy Girl Style – October Hits

Happy Thursday! I figure since we’re still in the first week of November talking about my favorite things from October still works right? Right. And I am actually on my way out the door (after this post) to officially start my Christmas shopping – Thank you Sephora for an awesome VIB event and almost VIB Rouge event (good Lord I spend a lot of money on pretty things) I’m heading down to get gifts for me and 20% off of my entire purchase today. Yay! Dancing feet. I’m pretty sure November Faves will have lots of Christmasy type items on it, lol.

IPhone 6 – I got a refurbished IPhone 4 earlier this year and had more problems with it than I want to relate, so when I had the opportunity to get a 6 last month I jumped at it. In addition I got the 128G – which is more memory than I think I’ll ever need but I couldn’t pass it up – I am so very much in love it’s not even funny. This thing could probably replace my husband if I wanted it to – even Siri and I have become friends after a few bumps in the road to start with. She’s texting for me and writing notes while I’m driving to keep me sane and safe! Hands down the best phone and Toy I’ve gotten in a while!

Peet’s Holiday Blend – OK as some of you might know I am a coffee snob and Peets is the holy grail of coffee for me, with that in mind since their Holiday Blend is almost more coveted than their Anniversary blend I literally wait from the beginning of October for the email that says I can get an advanced pound (first roast) before it goes into the store. This year’s blend is very nice (not one of my all time favorite blends) but it comes up on my list because I’ve finished my first pound (in two weeks time) and as I went back to my regular coffee this morning I realized I needed to get another pound quickly. One note for anyone considering purchasing or thought this years blend was a little strong because of the very heavy African notes – ease up on the grounds by about a teaspoon – per cup – at first I wasn’t really happy with it because of that either but my mom made me a cup at her house and I was hooked – OK enough on that 🙂

Helen of Troy – hot brush – I picked this baby up when it was on sale a few weeks ago and even asked the sales clerk what the return policy was before I left the store – I was very skeptical to see the least. OMGee this thing makes my life so much easier, it removes the need for round brushing when I’m drying my hair. Mind you it does require you to use two accessories when you’re drying (hair dryer, hot brush) but not having to section off my hair and being able to curl it while drying has cut my time down immensely. Well that and the KMS Free Style spray (It’s still new but should be on my November list – it’s pretty awesome) – small side note, I do have very fine hair I don’t know that the hot brush would work as well on thicker or curly hair.

Ulta Sculpting Palette – Have you ever wanted to sculpt your cheeks or highlight your eyes but were either afraid or didn’t have the products? Me too, in comes a Youtube post (I don’t remember which) that mentions the sculpting palette and how easy it was to use. This thing is awesome! It’s not something I use everyday and I’m still learning but it really does define and highlight like it’s supposed to and sometimes that little bit is just enough to make you feel like a supermodel when you’re heading out the door.

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb – Frannie and I have been obsessing about this perfume for months and by luck Sephora had it as a 100 point sample last month I got two (she doesn’t know that yet though) I have worn it everyday since it’s come home, it’s totally girly with hints of flowers and I swear sugar. I think I may need to pick another one up this afternoon.

What are your favorite things from October?
