Frannie’s Birthday

Friday was my youngest’s 15th birthday, I’m not sure when I got old, but I can tell you having a 15 year old as your baby will do that. Initially we were not going to have a party, but, we were convinced to have a small dinner and cake for the grandparents and a few friends. Saturday morning I whipped up a quick basic yellow cake and some mocha frosting – my new go to chocolate recipe and decorated away. All in all for a last minute thing I was really happy that everything turned out.

quick note, do not use jell frosting on a hot day – as you can see – it does run

That looks delish! I have a 14 year old and two 11 year olds. If I had a moments pause with them, I’d probably wonder when I got old as well. 😉
