Raider Cake

Cheers to the weekend! My mother asked me to make a birthday cake for a friend at church. I was a little apprehensive since she wanted this one to be frosting only, not fondant and I can honestly tell you I’m not the greatest with frosting, although both told me the only thing that really matters is that it tastes good, and I know my cakes are tasty!

She wanted a NFL Raider theme, I found ribbon and a cool coaster to add decoration at Michaels.

It definitely made it easer to put everything together, especially with the lower cake since it’s completely covered.

I used the coaster and the small ribbon for the top tier. I think it came out really cute, I hope Gary likes it.

Have a wonderful Saturday night!

Nice job, Sarah! I’m sure Gary will love it. I’ll have to check out my local Michael’s craft store. Did they have a lot of NFL teams?

    • Just the Raiders, Niners and Cal Berkeley (our local teams), I was surprised to find any this time of year, there was a lot on Amazon but my mom sprung it on me too late even for Prime to deliver in time.

Even though I’m on the east coast, I’m a long time Chargers fan. When I had seen the Raiders logo, my blood pressure raised a few ticks. 😉
